Austin Gruhn is an American composer with an extraordinary passion for creating emotive and original soundtracks for Film, TV, Video Games, and Commercials. His music creates an organic, fantastical sound with striking melodies, sweeping harmonies, and a spiritual presence that invokes the human spirit. With the ability to perform multiple instruments, and a unique style of music production, he is constantly pushing himself beyond his limits on every score he delivers.

Over the past few years, he’s written music for brands such as Google, Oculus VR, Netflix, and Ferrari. He has recently scored the award-winning series “Ecosphere”, a Virtual Reality nature documentary with Facebook’s Oculus, WWF, and Silverback Films. He is also composing music for the up-and-coming film “Sincerely, Los Angeles” about NBA star Kobe Bryant.

In addition to composing in America, he has also branched out into other parts of the world such as Japan. His first introduction into the Japanese industry first began through collaborating on Japanese dramas with Yuki Hayashi (composer for My Hero Academia and Haikyu!!) and Alisa Okehazama (composer for Jujutsu Kaisen and The God of High School). He then composed music for the WOWOW series “Operation Z: To Destroy Japan” with Yutaka Yamada (composer for Tokyo Ghoul, Vinland Saga, and Great Pretender).
